What to Expect
Your First Visit
Welcome to our
On your first visit to our office, we’ll do our best to communicate how pleased we are that you chose Boos Chiropractic/ Spine Tulsa. As with most offices, we’ll ask you to sign in with a specific, four digit PIN. If you haven’t already filled out your forms online, we will start your visit by collecting the usual information and some that may surprise you!
Complimentary Insurance Verification
If we haven’t already called to verify your insurance coverage, we’ll run copies of your insurance card and your driver’s license. (Having your picture helps us remember your name!)
First Visit and Consultation
We’ll take you on a short tour of the clinic that ends in our New Patient Consultation Room where you’ll have a chance to go over your symptoms and concerns and prepare you for your examination and, subsequently, your chiropractic care.
Consultation, Exam and X-rays
If, after reviewing your symptoms, Dr. Boos feels he can help you, we will take any x-rays that Dr. Boos determines are necessary to properly diagnose your health care challenges. Why x-rays? Well, Dr. Boos is certainly a pretty good guesser, but I doubt you will want him to guess about something as incredibly important as your health! After your x-rays are taken, we’ll make sure your next appointment has been set for as soon as possible. Dr. Boos may give you some simple home instructions to help with any symptoms for which you are seeking care.
We know you are ready to get well and can’t imagine making you wait long for your results. On your second visit, Dr. Boos will tell you if he can help your or if he can't. Your second visit will include specifically set aside time to go over your x-rays and the doctor's determinations about your need for care. (Approximate length of visit: one hour.)
Your Second Visit
Report of Findings Visit #2
We’ll set you up in the Consultation Room, again, so Dr. Boos can go over your x-ray findings. Dr. Boos will spend time with you explaining how any misalignments he diagnoses on your x-rays can create ill health. Most importantly, you’ll learn what a vertebral subluxation, a misalignment of one or more of the spinal bones, looks like and how it can adversely affect your health.
Report of Findings with
Dr. Howard Boos
Next, you will receive your Report of Findings. We’ll take a look at your actual x-rays and discover what the doctor determines is your problem and the appropriate course of care for you to get well in the shortest amount of time at the least cost to you possible.
Financial Report of Findings
By the end of this visit, we should have had the chance to verify any insurance coverage you may be using or determine the most agreeable form of payment for your schedule of care. You will have an opportunity to sit with our Finance Assistant and handle any questions you have about satisfying your part of the agreement for care.
Chiropractic Care Begins
If you decide to proceed with care, each visit begins with signing in at the front desk with your private pin number and a short update on your current symptoms and improvements. When it's your turn, you will be assisted onto one of the adjusting tables by staff for a moment of rest before you are seen by Dr. Boos. Any additional therapy necessary will occur before and/or after your adjustment, as determined by your findings.
Check out and
At the conclusion of your visit, our front desk staff will help you set up a schedule of care that is convenient for you. Any payments required will take place at this time. A visit with our Finance Assistant will clarify insurance coverage and any other arrangements are, also, agreed upon. (Approximate length of visit: 45 minutes.)
